Prumo Logística, the developer and operator of Açu Port, announced a partnership with Euro Urbanismo for the development of a Convenience Center in the port. The project addresses construction of offices, stores, a gas station and a medical clinic.
The center is expected to have total area of 8,000 m², with gross leasable area of 2,000 m², intended to meet the demands of companies and workers of the Industrial Complex. Restaurants, bank branches, offices for maritime agents and accounting firms are some of the services that may be provided in the location.
“The Convenience Center is another advantage of Açu Port. In addition to fulfilling current and future demand from workers and companies in the complex, it will also create jobs and tax revenues for the city,” said Açu Port Commercial Manager José Guilherme Vasconcelos. Approximately 500 jobs will be created by companies that set up facilities in the area.
“The development of Açu Port will attract more and more companies to the region and it is paramount to have services near the enterprise. The Convenience Center will support such growth,” said Euro Urbanismo Director Maurício Fonseca. The company participates in the development of this project in partnership with a group of investors that includes businesspeople from Campos dos Goytacazes. In addition to the partnership in the Convenience Center, the company also develops the Royal Boulevard Premium land lots, in Campos.
Planned capex is R$3 million in the center, which will be located beside a hotel being built by InterRio. The Convenience Center starts operations in the second half of 2017.
