SPIC Brasil, Grupo Prumo (a company controlled by EIG Global Energy Partners) and Siemens AG have signed today a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) through which they formalize cooperation agreements for the development of energy projects in Brazil. The signing took place during the BRICs meeting. The ceremony was attended by the key executives of the companies involved: from SPIC part, Mr. Qian Zhimin, Chairman of the Board, Ms. Adriana Waltrick, CEO of SPIC Brasil and Mr. Waldo Perez, CFO of SPIC Brasil; from Siemens AG part, Ms. Lisa Davis, Management Board Member and Co-CEO of Siemens Gas and Power, and from Prumo part, Mr. R. Blair Thomas, Chairman of the Board and CEO of EIG Global Energy Partners.
SPIC Brasil’s contribution to this agreement is centered on its expertise in operations and in project management strategy in Brazil, as Siemens will contribute with its expertise in technology and Grupo Prumo with long-term investment. The partnership allows the expansion of the range of projects as well as a greater confidence in the investment that may be developed.
