The Port of Açu announced yesterday the signing of a definitive agreement with Petrobras Distribuidora (BR) for the supply of fuels for vehicles and equipment through the installation and operation of a fuel station in the Port of Açu Industrial Complex. The two companies also signed a definitive agreement to provide services for the operation of a triage terminal for trucks that access the project. Both agreements will have 10 year-terms from the start date of the Truck Center’s operations.
There will be approximately 5,000 m² dedicated to the fuel station, including a tank farm for fuel supply, selling directly to companies installed in the Port of Açu Industrial Complex. The truck triage terminal will have an initial area of 15,000 m2, with 80 truck slots, administrative building and convenience area for truck drivers.

The triage structure will manage the queue of trucks for access to the Port of Açu and its terminals. The project already contemplates expansion areas, which will be implemented according to the increase in the number of trucks.
For the development and implementation of the Truck Center, the Port of Açu is negotiating with potential investors, who will build the necessary infrastructure and superstructure.
