Port of Açu hosts visitors from Campos business delegation

Meeting brought together more than 30 members of the Chamber of Shopkeepers and the Commercial and Industrial Association of Campos

Around 30 businesspeople from the city of Campos were received at the Port of Açu during a visit to the port development. The group of representatives from the Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) and the Commercial and Industrial Association of Campos (ACIC) was hosted by the commercial area of Prumo Logística, the company developing and operating the Port, and which presented the full structure and progress at the Port Complex. The aim of the visit was to learn about those developments at the project and current demands for possible business opportunities.

The visitors explored the main spots of the Port. The group passed through the terminals for Iron Ore (Ferroport), Oil (T-OIL), and Multicargo (T-MULT), as well as circulating in the area where the companies at the Port Complex have set up operations.

“This meeting is important for strengthening the relationship the Port has with businesses in the region. The visit allows them to understand what our needs are, in a way that they can work to meet them. Having local services inside the development is advantageous both for us and for them. Our objective is mutual development,” stresses Rafael Viana, commercial analyst at Prumo Logística.

The president of ACIC, José Luiz Lobo Escocard, was surprised by the growth of the Port Complex. “This is the third time I’ve come to the Port and I was very impressed by the evolution and the grandiosity of what we saw today. As representatives of the commercial sector in Campos, we have the mission of communicating what we learned during the visit to those businesspeople who weren’t able to come. Without a doubt, Açu will be the salvation of the region,” Eucocard said.

“A project of this size is a entry to new business. Because of that, we make it a point to accompany the growth of the Port in order to expand the activities of our entire industry,” said Norival Manhães, the previous president of CDL.
