Port of Açu’s Supplier Catalogue will be launched in Campos and São João da Barra

Online content gathers information about the enterprise and services offered in its surroundings

The Port of Açu’s Supplier Catalogue, created by the enterprise in partnership with the Rio de Janeiro branch of the Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae/RJ), will be launched tomorrow in Campos, and in São João da Barra on Friday. The content is already available online and was designed to provide support to companies that set up facilities in the Port Complex or intend to do so. The catalogue gathers information about the port and the region, including the local service network, stores and manufacturing plants that may meet the demands of companies in the complex. The initiative is part of the Local Supplier Development Program (PDFL), created by Sebrae and the port to prepare entrepreneurs in São João da Barra and Campos to become potential suppliers to the enterprise.

Foto Catálogo 1.jpgJoão Kapiska, Sustainability manager at the Port of Açu, stated that the content is attractive for all parties involved. “While the catalogue will facilitate the installation and development of companies in the port by providing relevant information, the content will also benefit local entrepreneurs, who will be listed and introduced by the catalogue,” he said.

The online version will be presented to local businesspeople and authorities tomorrow at 8:30 am in the Firjan auditorium, in Campos. On Friday, São João da Barra residents will be introduced to the catalogue in an event scheduled for 8:30 am at Pousada Lalillus, at Grussaí Beach.

Gilberto Soares, regional coordinator for Sebrae in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro state, explained that the catalogue will be vital to present the whole potential of the products and services available in the port’s impact zone. “It is a full guide to introduce local companies, encompassing all kinds of business segments. We want to encourage procurement among Campos and São João da Barra suppliers, not only for large enterprises but for the regional business community as well,” added Soares.
