Signed on November 28, 2012 the contract entailed the installation of a manufacturing facility in the venture’s yard, some 10 km from the channel of Terminal 2. This decision does not rule out future ventures with GE in other areas of the port, primarily in the channel of Terminal 2.
Prumo also announced that since being signed the contract with GE had not generated any rental revenue for the company as the conditions for triggering payment had not been implemented.
In another Press Release the company announced it had decided to terminate the land lease agreement with Eneva signed on November 24, 2010. The contract was cancelled due to the failure to comply with the commercial conditions for building a thermal power plant at Açu Port.
