The theme of this year’s edition is “Light, Science and Life”, taking place alongside the activities of the National Week for Science and Technology (SNCT), coordinated by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Prumo’s stand will present environmental education projects currently being developed in three schools of the Fifth District of São João da Barra: protected greenhouse cultivation; selective waste collection, emphasizing the correct disposal of packages for toxic chemicals used in agriculture; and a leisure area using recyclable materials removed from the Port’s construction works. Visitors may also see a photo exhibit of these projects.
“This will be a great opportunity to show the environmental education programs that we develop in the region and our relationship channels with the community. We want local citizens to feel closer to Açu Port,” said Prumo’s Environment Manager Vicente Manzo.
The program of the fair, which is organized by the Municipal Secretary of Education and Culture, includes presentations of works by public school students and teachers and activities carried out by partner companies. The event is free and open to all.
