During the visit, he reiterated the importance of the Rio-Vitória railway, which will have a line running to Açu Port, and will interconnect the ports in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, in addition to Comperj.
They also discussed the building of a new highway connecting Açu Port directly to the BR-101 highway, in order to handle the projected traffic.
The visit also included state deputy João Peixoto; the mayor of São João da Barra, José Amaro de Souza Neco; the joint state transportation secretary, Delmo Pinho; and the chairman of Detro, Carlos Luiz Martins.
