O&G - Port of Açu

O&G

Port of Açu is one of the largest O&G hubs in Brazil

The proximity to the main oil & gas fields, integrated portfolio of services and adequate infrastructure grant Port of Açu a leadership position in logistical support and make it a strategic subsea cluster to serve the O&G market.

Key O&G players are already installed or operating at Port of Açu, such as Ambipar, Baker Hughes, BP, CNOOC, Equinor, Galp, Intermoor, NOV, OceanPact, Petrobras, Repsol Sinopec, Shell, TechnipFMC, TotalEnergies, among others. The unrestricted maritime and road access positions Açu as one of the main gateways for national production.

+30% of Brazilian oil exports are handled in Açu by Vast Infraestrutura, affiliate of Prumo. Vast is dedicated to offering safe and efficient integrated solutions for liquids, including more efficient oil double banking operations in a sheltered offshore terminal 25m deep. With the implementation of oil and gas pipelines, Açu will create a new route for fuel distribution and will expand Brazil’s refining capacity.

Açu offers large available area with direct access to the quayside and with advanced licensing. There is still room for new O&G industries to leverage their business, including the decommissioning industries of depleted fields and the development of the offshore wind industry.
